Burning Fat Tips

If you are working out hard and eating healthy you are probably expecting to be seeing the fat on your body dropping off you consistently. But sometimes that is not the case and it can be very frustrating. Women usually end up with the muffin top and men end up getting a pot belly, neither of which are fun to look at in the mirror. This extra flab on your body just does not seem to want to go anywhere; here are some tips on how you can finally get rid of this fat.
Your first tip is that it can sometimes be hard to see the results, so do not get discouraged! Just because you don't notice much of a change in the areas that you are hoping to fix, does not mean that you are not burning off fat. Fat stores all over your body so keep working and eating right and you will eventually see results in the areas you are trying to make look better.
Secondly, and I mentioned this in the first tip, you need to give it time. Unless you are getting surgery, you are not going to see a quick fix with the flab. You need to put in several months of hard work and eating right to see this extra flab disappear. So patience is just as important as working out and eating right. Also, if you are working out hard you are probably going to be putting on some muscle as well, so even if your weight does not change much that does not mean you are not burning fat. Hopefully you will start to look leaner even if you weight the same amount.
Our third tip is unfortunately a harsh reality; you are not going to look as good as you did when you are 20. Sorry. As you get older your body changes and your skin changes, causing it to sag more. Your muscle mass is going to decline as you get older and you metabolism is going to get slower. That doesn't mean you can't have a great body when you are older, but it is going to take much more work than it would have if you were still 20 and will take effort to maintain also, not just to get you there.
This article is not meant to discourage anyone from trying to lose weight, but I am hoping that it will make people realize that you need to be patient, work hard, eat right and understand you will not lose weight over night. Anyone can lose weight if they have those ingredients, so stick with it if you are losing faith, or get started if you are just looking into how you can create a healthier and sexier body for yourself.

How to Lose Three Pounds A Week - The Top 4 Secrets to Losing 1-3 Pounds A Week and Keeping It Off

Now that we are a couple of months into 2012, weight loss continues to be on the minds of many. Some may be wondering how to lose 3 pounds a week and keep it off for good, finally, this year. Everybody knows that most people who diet and lose the weight will put it back on plus more when the diet ends. So, keeping the weight off for good should be an important part of any weight loss effort. According to Rob Huizenga, MD, associate professor of clinical medicine at the University of California in Los Angeles, it is possible to lose it and keep it off. Dr. Huizenga is also the medical advisor the TV show, "The Biggest Loser."
To lose 1-3 pounds a week plus more, it is not about starving yourself, but by paying attention to how you are working out along with eating clean. Here are the top 4 secrets to follow from Dr. Huizenga to lose all those unwanted pounds and fat.
Tip #1: Exercise long. If you want to drop the pounds quickly, consider long and vigorous exercise routines. If you are able to work out for one hour, twice a day, obese women can burn up to 2,500 calories and obese men can burn from 3,000 to 4,000. When you do the math that adds up to about a pound a day!
Tip #2: Exercise hard. This is one of the best ways to really drop the fat and weight. For example, if the only thing you can do is walk, you would have walk 5.5 hours a day to lose 1% of your body weight in a week. For men and women who exercise more intensely, they can get the same results in a day, says Dr. Huizenga.
Tip #3: Stay on Schedule. Establish a habit in which you work out the same time every day and stick to it. Those who do this have less likelihood of quitting.
Tip #4: Feed your body after workouts. After an intense, vigorous workout, your body needs fuel. 30 minutes after a workout, the muscle cells are more responsive to insulin. Those who take the time to have a high protein, high carbohydrate drink during the 30 minute period absorb more nutrients into their muscles. This in turn, will accelerate muscle growth. Programs like P90X, Supreme 90 Day, Insanity, etc. all have what is called recovery drinks to use after the workout. You can also create your own recovery drink by simply blending a cup of skim, soy, almond, or rice drink milk along with some fresh or frozen fruit and a couple of scoops of protein powder.
How to lose 3 pounds a week isn't complicated. It just takes commitment. The great thing about this too, is that you don't have to give up things. Yes, eating clean with lots of fresh produce, whole grains, fruits, and veggies is highly important, but you can also still have your fun food too!
Everybody knows its not always easy to lose weight. Everybody says that with simple lifestyle and dietary changes, you CAN lose the weight and keep it off for good! Medication to Lose Weight

We live in a world obsessed with quick fixes and there is nothing that symbolizes this more than our desire to pop pills as solutions. Pharmaceutical companies market pills for profit, telling us they will cure us of any ailment that we suffer from (even the ones we didn't know we had!) This is why weight loss pills have become such an en vogue trend; in a world with increasing rates of obesity and decreasing desire for self-responsibility, weight loss pills seem like the perfect way to help us lose weight. The problem is, as with all quick fixes, some weight loss pills may not work as promised. Let's discuss why this is the case in greater depth to help you stay away from pills as a solution to problems.
In this pharmaceutical and mainstream medicine dominated age, even mainstream doctors are in consensus about the fact that weight loss pills are not proven effective; if anything some have been proven to be health hazards. For example, there are some weight loss pills that have been banned in many countries due to the fact that they cause a range of health problems from dizziness to kidney stones and there have even been instances of fatalities associated with them, (although it is important to remember that this is true of many types of drugs-doctors rarely claim that any drug is 100% fool-proof).
Another major problem with diet pills is their spurious promises. Diet pills will claim that they will decrease your appetite, break down your body fat faster and build up muscles-but can all of these promises really be fulfilled? The only way to lose weight and maintain a healthy weight in a safe and consistent manner is though a regular dose of healthy food and exercise. There is no quick way around this fact-it is just the truth. Diet pills lead you to believe that you can eat what you want and do as little as you want and that if you just take the pill you will have the body of Fabio or Cindy Crawford. The truth is, you won't.
The magical promises of diet pills are dangerous because they perpetuate not only the idea that everything in life can be fixed quickly, but also the idea that people do not have control over themselves and thus must take pills to get better. Nothing could be further from the truth. The only way to lose weight effectively is to build habits that facilitate a healthy lifestyle: diet, exercise, and a positive attitude fueled by positive emotions.

Healthy Weight Loss Is the Only Weight Loss That Works

With all the processed foods, fast foods, and junk foods that people eat on a daily basis, there is no wonder why there is such a weight loss problem. Not only do we have temptation, but we also have super models in our faces with their slim physiques and fancy diet tricks that get you losing ten pounds in two days. Because of poor diet habits and get thin quick ploys, people are searching for a technique that works.
The truth is healthy weight loss is the only true way to lose the weight you want and keep it gone. Constant dieting may help you lose pounds quick, but then after your diet it all comes right back again. Have you ever stopped to wonder why? Well, it just isn't healthy weight loss. Now that I've been talking about healthy weight loss, you are probably wondering what is that and how do I do it. Below you will find some tips to achieving the body you want the healthy way:
Get rid of the Junk
Many people think that dieting really means starving yourself. That just isn't the case. Whether you are overweight or just want to lose a few pounds, your body still needs adequate nutrition to function. Yes, even carbohydrates. The thing with dieting is to limit yourself of the things that are actually bad for you and eat a well rounded diet.
If you want healthy weight loss, get rid of processed foods that carry very little nutrition and actually only fill your stomach and your fat cells; get rid of junk food like chips, cookies, and sugary foods that definitely add to the fat cells; and get rid of the massive portions of food and only eat until you are full. Eat nutritious foods that are dense in nutrients like fresh fruits, vegetables, and meat.
Take Vitamins
Many times if our bodies are not getting certain nutrients that it needs, then you may find yourself snacking throughout the day. A simple vitamin could help your body maintain balance keeping you healthy and free from snacking.
Exercise
Exercise and diet typically go hand-in-hand. Exercise doesn't only promote healthy weight loss, but it actually keeps your body healthy in many ways from your heart to your brain and emotional health. Exercise helps you feel better, alleviate stress, and get rid of excess weight. The best time to exercise is in the morning before you eat breakfast. This causes your body to burn fat for energy instead of the food you eat as there is no food in your belly for it to use.
Healthy weight loss is achievable; however, it takes dedication, commitment, and perseverance. Taking care of your body is the first step to getting to a healthy weight which requires you to eat right, take extra supplements to give your body the nutrition it needs, and exercise. If you focus on these few tips, you will maximize your chance of getting fit the healthy way.
